Optics

This is one of the most important components of a custom rifle. You can’t shoot something if you can’t see it. You also can’t shoot groups with a scope that is not extremely stable. This is not a place that you want to get cheap on. I am a big Leupold fan. I think that they are the best value for the money. They are extremely reliable and are backed by the best customer service in the business. The European scopes are wonderful. They are very, very bright and work wonderfully for low-light hunting. For most of my hunting I stick with the Leupold. Another advantage of the Leupold is the sheer variety of scopes that they make. I have also been very impressed with the Zeiss Conquest line of scopes. I feel they represent an excellent value. The following is a list of scopes that I feel are of good quality;  Pentax, Swarovski, Schmidt & Bender, Zeiss, Kahles, and NightForce.
